Chapter II
What RocketFi is
RocketFi. The launch product. A person names a token, picks a flywheel, and launches it on Pons. Pons creates the token and the bonding curve. RocketFi points the creator fee at a vault and spends that fee the way the flywheel says. RocketFi does not replace RocketSwap, and a RocketSwap swap does not launch a token.
Pons. The launchpad on Robinhood Chain. A launch pays a small fee, mints a fixed supply onto a bonding curve, and trades there until the curve fills. Graduation moves the token into one locked Uniswap v4 pool. After that, the token can be bought and sold like any other token, including on RocketSwap.
Bonding curve. A contract that sells and buys the token against a reserve. The price rises as people buy and falls as they sell. There is no order book. The curve holds the supply until graduation.
Flywheel. The rule for the creator fee. Ten percent of the fee that reaches the vault stays with RocketFi. Ninety percent is spent on the recipe chosen at launch. The recipe is stored per token. One vault can serve many tokens, each with its own recipe.
Fee vault. A contract the creator’s wallet deploys once. The wallet owns it. The vault is a separate address. Pons will only let that vault pull the creator fee off the curve, so the vault itself sends the pull. The wallet signs the transaction. It does not become the vault.
The recipes
- Buy and Burn. The fee buys the token and sends it to a burn address. The supply in circulation goes down by that amount.
- Holder Rewards. The fee is parked. A snapshot records who held the token. Each holder claims their share of that snapshot. There is no staking.
- Buy and Lock. The fee buys the token and locks it. The lock has no withdraw, and this recipe does not pay holders.
- Liquidity First. The fee is held until the curve finishes, then it is meant to be added to the official pool. After 1 ETH has been added, the recipe switches to Balanced.
- Balanced. The fee is split across burn, lock, holder rewards, and liquidity.
Buy and Burn and Holder Rewards have been run on chain. The other recipes are in the product and are not the subject of this trading book.
Rocket Launch, the older name, is the same product. The public staging site is separate from rocketswap.fun. Nothing in the trading chapters depends on launching a token.
